Details steps necessary to change a global preference, also called a company option or global option. You must have been provided information about what option to change, and what to change the option to.

  1. While the application is running, go to Administration->Administration.
  2. Click on the Global Preferences tab (You may need to press the ALT and F8 keys together to make it visible).
  3. This will present the Global Preferences tab, select it.
  4. Using the scrollbar, search for the option you wish to change. The options are in alphabetical order.
  5. If the option is not present:
    1. Click the 'Add' button.
    2. Click on the leftmost empty column in the grid.
    3. Type the option name exactly as given.
  6. Change the option value in the large field below the grid.
  7. Press the save button just above & nearest to the grid to save. Note: most versions of this window have two save buttons, you must press the one nearest the grid.
