Our custom services group is dedicated to helping you get the most out of your investment in our software solutions.  Custom services can help you migrate existing data into ServiceLedger, integrate ServiceLedger with existing applications, customize ServiceLedger to better meet your needs and requirements, provide custom reporting and even provide custom training options specific to your processes, procedures and workflow.

Custom services give you the peace of mind in knowing that you will never outgrow ServiceLedger.  Regardless of your current size, ServiceLedger Custom Services is always here to help you maximize your investment by customizing your solution around your unique needs and requirements.

Why Does ServiceLedger Use Minimum Hours and Minimum Project Fees?  To ensure the highest quality on any project we start, ServiceLedger follows a proven methodology that allows us to specify the project in detail, follow a proven development process, manage the project with a dedicated project manager and review the project upon completion with your staff.  Oftentimes, each project will require some level of documentation and/or training.  In most cases, there is already a set number of hours for each type of project before we even calculate the necessary hours for the actual service to be performed.  Our project minimums are designed to help you with budgeting purposes and justify if the custom services is worth the investment.  The project minimums are only a starting point and your project specification will determine the actual project fee that is often greater than the minimum.

Data Conversion/Migration
$125.00 Per Hour / Minimum 4 Hours or $500 Per Project

Data conversion and migration allows you to convert existing data into ServiceLedger.  Practically any data can be converted assuming ServiceLedger has a field to store the relevant data.  It is recommended that you provide a detail map of what data from your existing data be imported into specific fields into ServiceLedger.  Data conversions usually come in three varieties:

  • Flat File Import - basic single-table information like basic customer information, vendor information and item information.  Relatively straight-forward understanding of what data goes where.  Typically, these imports take only 4 hours in most cases. 

  • Multi-Table Import - these imports are more complex because they require us to import data from multiple tables in your existing system into multiple tables into ServiceLedger.  For example, importing customer information along with multiple contacts and multiple locations per customer which requires us to import into our contact and location table in addition to the customer table.  Typically, these imports take approximately 4 - 8 hours per file in most cases.

  • Transactional Imports - importing of transactional items like invoices, work order history, contract history, etc.  These are the most difficult imports to perform and usually require multiple tables.  Typically, these imports take between 8 - 16 hours per file in most cases, sometimes longer depending upon the amount of data and integrity of data.

Data Integration
$125.00 Per Hour / Minimum 4 Hours or $500 Per Project

If you have existing applications you wish to integrate ServiceLedger with, you can have our development team perform the integration, or partner with our development team to assist in the integration.  For data integration projects, we strongly recommend that you provide a detailed specification of what you hope to accomplish with the integration and provide to us for our review and suggestions. 
 

Customizations/Custom Development
$125.00 Per Hour / Minimum 20 Hours or $2,500 Per Project

Customizations allow you to custom-tailor ServiceLedger to meet the unique needs and requirements of your organization.  Customizations allow for better process and workflow management by having the software adapted to your existing procedures rather than you changing your procedures to match the software.  While customizations come with many benefits, customization projects can become expensive and it is strongly recommended that you provide a detailed specification document of the project and what you hope to accomplish as well as justification figures for your own benefit to justify the cost of the customization against the benefit of having the customization.
 

Custom Reporting
$100 Per Hour / Minimum 2 Hours or $200 Per Project

Custom reporting allows you to modify or create reports specific to your needs.  Any existing report can be modified or any report can be created from scratch using Crystal Reports Professional Edition.  If you do not have the expertise to customize your own reports, you can hire our report writing team to modify or create reports for you.  On average, most reports range between $200 - $400 per report.
 

Custom Training/Consulting
$125 Per Hour / $1,000 Per Day Onsite*
Minimum 4 Hours / 2 Days For Onsite Visits

Custom training allows you to get specific training on ServiceLedger around your needs and requirements and often specific to your unique procedures, processes and workflow.  It is recommended that you take advantage of all remote training classes and training videos first prior to purchasing custom training. 

* Onsite Fee does not include reasonable travel expenses for airfare, lodging, car rental and per diem.
